Tired.. Sleepy.. but will not be demotivated.. not anymore =p

Guess what? Today I felt a bit sad.. As the 1st test result of geotechnique came to my hand.. with the lecturer saying you did quite bad.. real bad.. As I flip up the result.. Gosh.. It's only 5 out of 15 marks.. Hmmph.. It has been such a long time since the last time I get such result.. and imagine that a student like me who alwiz sit right in front of the lecturer and in the end of the day.. 33.33% F

Sounds quite bad after all.. However.. after thinking awhile.. I shud have worked harder than this.. I can do better.. And I tell myself that I am going to.. So.. ended up in the library after dinner.. Then went to school and back to library finding for a good spot to study.. Able to finish a chapter at least.. feeling tired.. but I am not gonna give up.. hopefully I can do the same thing every night.. I gonna make it thru this sem.. I gonna get better result than last sem or at least maintain my pointer..

Met frenz.. and was asked what am I doing in the campus.. after thinking awhile.. I know why I choose library or rather outside the library at 24 hours room.. bcuz I dun feel like studying around my coursemates.. usually will get demotivated.. therefore.. this is still the best spot rather than McD =p Hehe.. Anyway.. gotta go.. tired.. do some reading and get back to sleep later.. It's quite late d..

=) Happy Birthday to ME!!!

So.. It's my 23rd Birthday!!! Imagine that a day started with a gang of coursemate playing L4D in the Cyber Cafe after our course night dinner.. It was great as my birthday falls on a Sunday.. which means that I can come home late at night.. Just came back and gonna sleep soon..

My coursemates had celebrated with yesterday night which really gave me a surprise cuz it wasnt my birthday yet.. Anyway.. that was a great 1!!! many of them came over and chatted while eating the cake.. Then I got to know that Hui Pin sent me a post yest by my fren as she sent to the wrong address (my previous house). So luckily it was a Sat that I am still able to go to the post office to get the present!!! Thanks to all my frenz and my beloved dear for ur wishes and presents =)

Know wat? When I was young.. Birthday seems to be something special to me.. We celebrate birthday once a year that makes me feel special. However, after awhile, I feel that birthday is just another day which din make too much difference than any other day.. haha! May what I think is still important here is that.. A birthday boy/gal shud at least has his/her birthday cake to make a wish cuz that only happens once a year rite? And I am glad that I did cut a cake and make some wishes (greedy huh? Just 3 =p) Thanks to my coursemates.

On the other hand.. It left around 2 or 3 weeks to the end of this semester.. And time really flies.. Soon.. I'll be having my finals, then choosing my Final Year Project and do my internship in PJ.. and my toastmaster meeting left 2 last meeting which is quite sad.. haha.. i really like to go over n learn things will those ppl there who laugh and make the day or night better and more relaxing =)

The Simple Saying of a Speech....

Haha.. I have learnt this.. And I think that this saying is very true and useful as a guidance for a beginner like me.. Even expect also use the same way ba.. haha..

Tell them what you gonna tell them, tell them, tell them what you have told them

That's the key for a simple speech.. which people will know what you are gonna to tell them.. then what's ur content of ur speech and finally remind them what you have told them and usually is good to end with a quote or sth that ppl will rmb ur speech.. and that's really a simple way and as good as it sounds huh? =p

A simple speech equips with a good introduction.. 3 points as the body (not too much as people may not be able to digest what you have told).. and a great conclusion which ppl say that a conclusion is as important as the intro and that it shud be a memorable 1 as the ending of the speech..

Although I have joined this club for just around 2 months but I can feel that I have learnt much bout it.. and that it gives me the courage and even build up my passion to learn more and start speaking in front of public.. and hence I really encourage ppl to join this club.. this club is anywhere and everywhere around ur district de.. just simply go to the website and u'll know the place and toastmasters alwiz welcome new members =) u can get some info for urself at www.toastmasters.org - giving u the chance to think and speak on your feet =p

Hehe.. back again after a week..

So.. what have I been doing for the past 1 week.. Im still interested in telling things bout the toastmaster thingi =p hehe.. Anyway.. There are many assignments waiting to be done.. However.. Im still hanging around and doing nothing much but to sleep =p wakaka.. cuz those are group assignments.. and im actually waiting to be assigned bout what m i suppose to do.. and after offering myself.. still I dun get any job.. So.. Here Im.. blogging..

ohya.. I was the table topics master for the UTC meeting.. It was a good 1.. wakaka.. I did put alot of quotes inside.. the topics were still ok la.. usually is on opinion.. so that it wun be too hard to be answered.. I've posted a few topics like:

Oh.. Back then.. I did my Third Speech!!! and successfully get the ribbon.. next time if got more time I'll post the ribbons here =p just wondering whether I'll be doing the 4th tomolo or next week.. anyway.. we'll see.. Title is bout knowledge.. 'Seeking knowledge in an alternative ways' not bad huh? i dun like the conventional way which is to read from books.. therefore i gave the alternative ways =p it was from observation, training and of course.. the thing we like the most =p watching tv show!!! hurray!!!

Nothing much to write over here.. it's 5plus in the morning n I still awake.. Just finish playing Dota with my coursemates =p Haha.. I am playing game again.. Well, just to have fun a little while after my geotechnique test.. It was ok.. Not too good nor bad cuz the lecturer was quite good.. the test supposed to be 2 hours but he shortened it to an hour that means it was easier but there are still ques I dunno how to do.. =p

Schedule was quite full today from 10 to ard 5pm with an hour or 2 break in the middle.. came back and took a quite long nap till night and took my dinner at 12 =p tomolo i gonna start doing my assignments and stuffs.. many assignments to do.. lab report.. and others.. have to jia you de!!! anyway.. Burning Midnight Oil...

Yes.. It's another day of burning midnight oil.. Will be having my Geotechnique midterm tomorrow.. 5 chapters altogether and I just finished the 1st chapter.. Sigh.. 4 more to go.. Luckily 2 of the chapters are from last semester subject.. Still have to revise.. Hopefully gonna finish soon so that I can actually sleep earlier =p but nah.. dun think i can finish also if I dun sleep.. Nth much to say here.. Cuz my eyes are feeling tired so just drop by and pen down some words here.. Gonna start my lab work on thurs and fri so on.. then many assignments waiting to be done.. gonna start to be very busy.. but still I gonna finish my next speech on coming Friday de!! Hehe..

Money Can Buy Love... Comment...

'Money can buy love' - That was the topic for the Table Topics Contests organised by the KK Advanced & Politeknik KK Toastmaster Club last Friday night. There were 8 contestants altogether, dressing in smart casual and ready to take the challenge of giving the impromtu 2 minutes speech to the audience.

As I was sitting below the stage, watching and listening to each of the speakers on that night. They were just amazing on how they reacted on the topic when it was thrown to them. 2 of the UTC members took part and the rest were those older people. Stanley Joibi is the 1 that really caught my attention in that very 2 minutes, with his loud and clear voice, controling his pitch and rate of the speech, he looked so natural and speak confidently on the topic and related it to the economic perspective that money can actually buy love.

In my opinion, money can buy love, definitely not! Even a primary student who learn English in his school know that love is uncountable which means it is invaluble. You might say that 'how about sugar? It is uncountable but can still be bought with a price. Yes, of course. However, sugar has a universal price. Everywhere you go, when you ask anyone, they can tell you the price of the sugar but not love. This is due to love is defined as the affectionate feeling towards someone that is important that usually needs time and devotion to develop and not merely can be bought with money alone. When people agree on this topic that money can buy love, they actually means that money can buy that someone and stick to you probably wherever you go but definitely not the heart. You get the material - a human that may be tagged with a price list but not a heart that is tagged with a price list. Hence, I personally think that even if we have all the money in the world, we would not be able to get love if we do not understand the real meaning out of it.

Wakakaka! how was that? does it exceeds 2 minutes? probably.. anyway.. that was not impromptu and i took some time to think 'bout it and even try finding dictionary 'bout the meaning of love. Just wanna try out, if next time the same question throws at me I'll definitely know how to answer it better than an unprepare attempt *^-^*

Toastmaster!!!

Yes.. It's true.. I have recently joined the University Toastmaster Club (UTC).. There are few reasons that I joined this club *^-^*

I dun really know how it is and even what it is to be a toastmaster, never have I heard anything 'bout toastmaster before this.. And back in the time when I was doing my Career Carnival.. Dr Siva who was one of the committee of the carnival actually introduce this club to me.. However, I was quite busy back then and din really take much attention 'bout the club.

Things start after I have stepped down from the students' council.. And I know that I have to take something up because I have to plan ahead.. I know that someday the question of what I have done after being a students' council or before my graduation. I am not going to tell the interviewer that I merely concentrate on my final year project.. I know I am know a brilliant fella that I need to join something to back up my resume =p

After thinking awhile.. I asked my fren 'bout this club and she actually told me bout the 1st meeting during this sem and anxiously I went to the meeting.. dress formally.. stepped into the room.. greeted by the ppl there.. joining the very first training meeting.. feeling comfortable after awhile.. it gives opportunity for each ppl to think and speak on their feet.. impromptu speech.. just like how we did our MUET oral test but this is more challenging cuz it's unlike MUET which gave us 1 min to prepare.. It's on the spot you have to speak on the title given.. besides, there r ppl who can really make ur day brigther with some silly jokes.. the humour master of the evening of course.. however.. the attendance for such a good club is quite poor and I really do think that ppl shud really get to know this and try it themselves as they can really improve coming to the training meeting

What do I actually like 'bout this thing? I dun like to read books.. therefore, listening to ppl's ideas and speaking in front will actually learn sth and let my mind keeps spinning =p hehe.. and i really admire and enjoy the way they actually speak on the stage will the gesture and the great voice!!! listening to them make me wonder and start dreaming when can I be like them.. As I am so afraid of public speaking due to my poor language back then.. I know this is the opportunity that I have to improve myself b4 going out to the working world.. I need to equip myself with such knowledge.. And being is a leader is about sending thru the message to the ppl under u in the correct manner that ppl understand and respect u.. the way of communication.. the ability to persuade them.. to convince others.. that's the whole key of it.. and I believe this club will bring me to my dreams ahead..

Has been playing much game nowadays.. really feeling bad and wanna change myself and be a better man.. (usually i have such thinking and took some steps - but after awhile i will eventually turn back to who i am =p wahahaha) Anyway.. it's good to sometimes remind myself that I have to stop gaming and start doing wat im supposed to be doing =p

Left 4 Dead! Dota!! CS!!! etc and etc.. gaming is just nice.. cuz i dun need to think much but how to win and kill the rest of the ppl =p but somehow.. it's time to inprove myself to gain some knowledge when i have some extra time =p hehe.. (it's such a good move huh?)
